Annual Meeting Recap 2026

Members Credit Union (MCU) released the 2025 Annual Report in May 2026. Here is a recap of the annual shareholder’s meeting that was held on Friday, January 30th, 2026.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, Members Credit Union (MCU) held its annual shareholder's meeting. The meeting was called to order, followed by a unanimous vote to re-elect Jerry T. Church, Richard Trotter, and Tommy Rhoney to serve a three-year term on the credit union's Board of Directors. President and CEO, Bob Donley, presented the results of 2025 and the plans for 2026; Mr. Donley reported that MCU  continued living out its “WHY” in 2025 by supporting members through ongoing financial challenges caused by inflation and economic uncertainty. MCU’s reduced NSF fee saved members more than $1.2 million in 2025, while 4,229 Holiday Skip-A-Pay requests provided over $1.21 million in additional holiday cash flow relief. Despite economic pressures impacting loan growth, MCU experienced strong deposit growth of 4.67% and reported a net income of $4.55 million. The credit union also honored the legacies of long-time leaders John Loftin, Fred Hauser, and Bill Tittsworth for their decades of dedicated service to Members Credit Union.

During 2025, MCU completed the merger of Piedmont Credit Union (PCU) in September. The merger added a new community charter for all of Iredell County in Statesville, NC. Our new branch includes a drive-thru, drive-up ATM, and a night deposit and is staffed by the PCU employees who we were able to hire to continue serving members and help us grow in the community. Thanks to our generous members who purchased t-shirts, along with our "Kids Helping Kids Fundraiser," we donated $48,439 to Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas, bringing our three-year total to $125,439. Our continued commitment to financial literacy allowed us to conduct nine Financial Reality Fairs at nine different schools in Forsyth and Stokes counties involving over 1,400 students. Our War Eagle branch at Davie High School continues to grow our financial literacy impact through classroom instruction, reality fairs, freshman orientation and financial counseling for teachers.

Looking ahead to 2026, to enhance accessibility, improve response times, consistency and allow our team to focus more deeply on personalized aspects of member support, our first AI Assistant will be introduced. MCU will add Tap to Pay to our VISA debit cards, providing members with a faster, more convenient, and secure way to complete everyday transactions. MCU hosted IGNITE, our first-ever Employee Engagement Day, on February 16. The event focused on connection, culture, and collaboration, reinforcing our shared purpose and commitment to serving members. Later in the year, a Community Day on October 12 that will provide opportunities for employees to give back and strengthen the relationships that matter most in the communities we serve.

In closing, President and CEO; Bob Donley expressed his gratitude to MCUs membership, employees, and the credit union's Board of Directors for their unwavering support and loyalty throughout a very challenging, successful, and rewarding 2025. The next annual shareholder's meeting is scheduled for January 2027.
